Conference Dinners

On the evening of 15 October 2018, there will be a 'Meet and Greet' at Graham Beck Skills Centre (R60 Riverside/Goree Road, Robertson) from 17:00 to 19:00 where finger snacks will be provided.

Dinners will be provided on the evenings of 16, 17 and 18 October 2018 at various venues in and around Robertson.

The registration fees include administrative costs, teas, lunches and dinners as from the evening on 15 October 2018 (meet and greet). Accommodation and breakfasts ARE NOT INCLUDED.  

Annual General Meeting

The AZEF Annual General Meeting will be held during the conference. Details will be included in the conference programme. 

Field Trips

Field trips will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 17 October 2018 and options include:

  • Rooiberg Breede River Conservancy: Conservation in Action
  • WFW Breede River Alien Clearing: Conservation and Community
  • Special Habitats: Robertson Area
  • Biodiversity Stewardship: Farmers and Conservation

Prizes and Awards

Best paper & best poster presented by young scientists with priority given to postgraduate students.

During the conference, Clement Cupido will auction a photograph from the arid zone to raise funds for future student participation at AZEF – watch this space!
